Where in the phone is the clipboard in the Samsung Android

Almost everyone today has a smartphone, which is a combination of a phone and a compact computer. And although the functionality of the pocket PC is slightly limited (compared to the full-fledged analogue), ordinary users should know where the clipboard in the phone in Samsung (and other models) is, what it is, why it is needed, how to clear it if necessary.

Clipboard on your Android phone

Temporary storage

These are the two words that can describe the essence of the clipboard (SW). It is an area in memory where data is stored for copying/moving from one application and then pasting into another. Each new copying operation erases previously saved information.

That is, it is a kind of intermediary between the two utilities. Let’s talk about the purpose further on.

Where is the Android clipboard on my phone?

This area is located in the RAM and it is physically impossible to see it. You can only see the content (text, pictures, etc.), which the user writes to a temporary storage location. After the recording smartphone owner can do anything with this information: insert it into other programs. This is very convenient in cases when it is necessary to find a greeting on the Internet, then copy it and later paste it into an SMS message.

Also, you can highlight sentences (and even whole paragraphs), copy the desired fragments, then paste them into text editors.

Alas, after you turn off your phone, the clipboard is reset. It’s impossible to restore its contents.

How to use?

  • In any application, press your finger to the screen where you want the text. Hold down until a pair of bounding markers is displayed. Move them around to highlight the desired part:

  • At the top, tap the button of the appropriate action: copy or cut. Your version of Android may not have buttons, but text commands with appropriate names. Immediately after performing this step, the highlighted information will go to your phone’s BO.
  • Open the second program (“Notepad” or “SMS messages”) and hold your finger in the application area. A menu with “Paste” button or command should appear:

  • You can also see a link to the clipboard. If you press it, you will be able to see all the text you have copied since you last turned on your phone:

You can use the same scheme to move any type of files between folders in “Explorer”, from internal memory to external, etc. The principle is no different from the one

used in Windows

How do I clear the clipboard on my Android phone?

In practice, there is rarely such a need. And if someone says that this way you will free up a lot of space in RAM, it’s complete nonsense. Maximum – a few megabytes.

But if you want to do it, here are a couple of ways:

  • Open the contents of the buffer as described in the previous instruction, hold your finger on the fragment you want to delete. A red crosshair should appear, and clicking on it you will achieve the desired result:

  • The second method is simple in general: just restart your smartphone.

There are quite a few apps in the Google Play store that allow you to manage the storage, and even create multiple buffers for multiple copying.

I told you where in the phone is the clipboard in Samsung (and not only), how to work with it. If you still have questions, please feel free to comment.
