Windows 11 download – how to download the system?

After more than six years, Microsoft has released the successor to the popular Windows 10. Windows 11 has been officially unveiled and is already available to early users. How to download Windows 11 and what you need to know about it?

Microsoft has already officially unveiled its new system. Windows 11 is now ready to hit the devices of early users in the form of a free update. However, not everyone will be able to download the new system right away. First you have to meet very specific requirements that the developers have set.

Windows 11 – requirements

  • 1 GHz, 64-bit, 2-core processor
  • 4 GB RAM
  • 64 GB of disk space
  • At least a 9-inch display
  • Minimum resolution: 1366 by 768 pixels
  • DirectX 12 compatible card, WDDM 2.0 driver support

The best way to find out if your computer meets the hardware requirements of the latest system is by using the application PC Health Check application. The software, available on the official website of the product, will test our hardware and show whether it qualifies for the update. Just because you meet the system requirements does not guarantee that you will be able to download Windows 11 right away. The release of the software does not mean that the system is available globally. Microsoft will introduce Windows 11 in waves, in such a way as to minimize the risk of any errors.

Windows 11 – how to download the system?

Windows 11 can be installed by opening the Windows menu, which is usually located on the taskbar in the lower left corner. There, click the cog that indicates settings. Then slide down to the phrase “update and security”. From there it’s easy, because you just need to select Windows Update and check for available updates. It may turn out that the program does not find one. Then, unfortunately, you have to wait until the system is available to more users.

What is important, recently Microsoft officially announced that it will allow the installation of Windows 11 on computers that do not meet the imposed requirements. The user deciding on such a step, however, must sign a special clause, informing about the lack of further support and the waiver of any warranty rights, in case of problems.
